HANDGUN SAFETY COURSE
Ronin Tactical is a certified State of Tennessee Handgun Safety School located in West Tennessee. We offer training necessary for you to apply for a Tennessee Handgun Carry permit.This is normally a one day class consisting of 8 hours of instruction. 4 hours in the classroom and 4 hours on the range. Classroom instruction consists of such topics as:
* HANDGUN FUNCTION, OPERATION AND NOMENCLATURE
* SAFETY, PROPER CLEANING AND STORAGE
* THE LEGAL LIABILITIES OF CARRYING A HANDGUN
The classroom instruction is followed by 4 hours of training on the range. The training will cover such topics as malfunctions, proper loading and unloading, dry fire drills, and the fundamentals of marksmanship. Ending with a 50 round live fire qualification course. The student will be required to shoot a minimum qualification score of 70% is required to pass. You will also be required to score a minimum of 70% on a written examination consisting of the information presented during the classroom and range sessions. Once you have met all requirements you will receive a Certificate of training to apply for your Permit with the State.
No matter if you have never fired a Weapon before, the instructor will insure that prior to your leaving you WILL have a firm grasp on the proper and safe use of your weapon,along with the confidence and skill to safely use it.
Class size is kept to a no more than 10 students to provide maximum one on one Instruction where needed or desired. We also offer private instruction for individuals or couples. contact for information and group discounts.

NOTE- SEMI-AUTO PISTOLS BRING AT LEAST 2 MAGAZINES, REVOLVERS ARE WELCOME. WE DONT RENT GUNS BUT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR OWN WE CAN PROVIDE ONE, TYPE IS LIMITED TO SEMI-AUTO. THE APPLICANT MUST:
1-BE A TENNESSEE RESIDENT
2-BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE
3-NOT HAVE BEEN CONVICTED OF A FELONY
4-NOT BE A FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE
5-NOT HAVE BEEN DISCHARGED FROM THE ARMED FORCES UNDER DISHONERABLE CONDITIONS
6-NOT BE AN ALIEN OR UNLAWFULLY IN THE UNITED STATES
7-NOT CURRENTLY BE THE SUBJECT OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION
8-NOT BE AN UNLAWFUL USER OR ADDICTED TO ALCOHOL OR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES
9-NOT HAVE BEEN CONVICTED OF STALKING
10-NOT HAVE BEEN A PATIENT OF A REHABILITATION PROGRAM OR HOSPITALIZED FOR ALCOHOL
OR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE ADDICTION WITHIN THE LAST 10 YEARS FROM APPLICATION DATE
11-NOT HAVE BEEN CONVICTED OF THE CRIME OF DEMESTIC VIOLENCE
12-NOT HAVE BEEN CONVICTED OF DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE IN ANY STATE WITHIN THE LAST
10 YEARS FROM THE APPLICATION DATE, AND NO SUCH CONVICTION HAVING OCCURED WITHIN
5 YEARS FROM THE APPLICATION DATE, **OR RENEWAL DATE**.
13-NOT BE RECEIVING SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY BENIFITS FOR REASONS OF ALCOHOL OR DRUG
DEPENDENCE OR MENTAL DISABILITY.
14- NOT HAVE BEEN ADJUDICATED AS MENTAL DEFECTIVE
UPPON COMPLETION OF THE STATE APPROVED HANDGUN SAFETY COURSE, THE APPLICANT MUST
SUBMIT TO A DRIVER LICENSE EXAM STATION, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY*
1-PROOF OF SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE HANDGUN SAFETY SCHOOL WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF
COMPLETION
2-PRESENT A $115 FEE, A PHOTO I.D., AND BE FINGERPRINTED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION
